Transition

Transition is a key focus for us. 

We are experts in ensuring a smooth ‘transition-in’ for all new Reception children and we ensure our Year 2 children progress confidently and ‘transition-out’ on to the next key stage in their learning journey on leaving Scott-Broadwood. 

We do this by:

• adopting a child-centred approach, really listening to any concerns the child has and addressing these meaningfully
• strong communication with parents and carers to help us understand your child and their needs
• nurturing strong relationships with local early years providers and through primary schools
• excellent liaison with external agencies to ensure that we intervene early and initiate any additional support your child needs
